Overview
Schluter KERDI-SEAL-MV seals the opening around a shower mixing valve with a preformed membrane collar and rubber gasket. The 4-1/2-inch opening protects exposed edges of moisture-sensitive backing at the valve, making this a different component from the smaller KERDI-SEAL-PS pipe-nipple seals.

Does this seal the plumbing inside the valve?
No. It protects the wall-backing opening; the valve and pipe connections still require their own correct plumbing installation.

Choose KERDI-SEAL-PS in the matching opening size for that purpose.
