Noble AquaSeal Waterproofing Membrane

Overview

Noble AquaSeal is a 16 mil bonded sheet membrane for interior tile waterproofing. Its translucent EVA core with polypropylene fabric faces helps the installer see bond-coat coverage while providing a thin, flexible layer under tile or stone.

Applications

Use for bonded interior waterproofing on floors and walls in residential or commercial tile installations over approved concrete or plywood substrates. Steam suitability is limited to residential steam rooms, with the appropriate bond coat; NobleBond EXT itself is not approved for steam rooms.

Selection and Use

• Prepare a clean, sound substrate with the required slope in wet areas. Select the bond coat for both the substrate and service environment.
• Embed the sheet fully and check bond-coat coverage. Complete seams, corners, penetrations and drain connections using the linked AquaSeal installation details.
• Where crack isolation is required, use the tested NobleBond EXT installation only in environments where that adhesive is permitted. Do not assume modified-thin-set bonding provides the same crack-isolation rating.
• Do not use as a wearing surface or exposed roof membrane or to correct structural deficiencies. Complete required waterproofing tests before covering.
• The 10-year material warranty is limited to properly installed approved systems and the manufacturer’s stated remedies.
