Overview
NobleSeal CIS is a thin CPE sheet membrane that helps isolate an interior tile installation from eligible substrate cracking and movement. Polyester fabric on both sides provides a bonding surface, while the 0.030" profile limits added floor height in new construction or renovation.

Applications
Use beneath interior tile over approved concrete, cured mortar beds, primed gypsum underlayments, suitable wood subfloors and other specified substrates. It can serve full-floor protection or properly sized localized crack treatment; it does not correct excessive deflection or structural deficiencies.
Selection and Use
- Choose a compatible NobleBond adhesive or specified modified thin-set bond coat for the substrate and environment. Install on a clean, prepared surface with complete bond-coat contact.
- For partial coverage, size the membrane to include the tile crossing the crack plus adjacent tile rows as shown in the linked instructions. Do not simply cover the crack with a narrow strip.
- Maintain required movement joints. CIS is not recommended for exterior use and is not a finished wear surface.
- Waterproof use requires the specified sealed overlaps, perimeter/drain details and flood testing; a butt-jointed crack-isolation installation is not automatically waterproof.
