Overview
HYDRO BAN Sheet Membrane is a pliable waterproofing sheet for interior tile assemblies, including steam showers and steam rooms. It bonds with a LATICRETE thin-set appropriate for the substrate and works with matching tape, corners and collars to connect the waterproofing through the installation.

Applications
Use on interior walls and floors in showers, tub surrounds, steam rooms, bathrooms, residential or commercial kitchens, backsplashes and other specified wet areas. The sheet can serve as both waterproofing and vapor control in the manufacturerās steam-room assembly.
Plan Your Installation
- Calculate the field area and separately allow for seams, transitions and penetrations. Select the roll length to suit the project.
- Where HYDRO BAN liquid overlaps the sheet, the instructions require a 2 in. (50 mm) overlap and two liquid coats; let the first coat dry olive green before the second.
- Protect the membrane until it receives its specified finish. Do not use over structural movement joints, vertically displaced cracks or as a primary roofing membrane.
Common Planning Questions
Is it recommended for submerged installations?
No. The sheet data sheet directs submerged applications to HYDRO BAN liquid waterproofing membrane instead.
