253R Gold Rapid is a fast-setting cementitious thin-set for ceramic, porcelain and stone. Mixed with water, it develops the specified early strength for grouting in as little as 2–4 hours, helping schedule suitable interior and exterior tile work.

Applications
Use on suitable concrete, masonry, cement plaster, terrazzo and approved backer board for floor or wall tile. Exterior-glue plywood is interior-only; existing vinyl, cutback, gypsum or plastic-laminate details require their specified preparation and limits.
Plan Your Installation
- Plan mixing quantities and tile placement around the rapid working window.
- Do not use for submerged installations; the linked sheet directs those projects to 254 Platinum.
- Do not bond directly to particleboard, luan, Masonite or hardwood.
- Provide any required waterproofing separately; grout readiness is not full service readiness.
