Overview

Schluter DITRA-HEAT-DUO-PS combines peel-and-stick installation with the sound-control and thermal-break backing of DUO. This 108 sq. ft. roll can accept separately selected DITRA-HEAT cable for floor warming while providing uncoupling and load support beneath the finished tile assembly.

• DUO backing reduces impact-sound transmission and heat loss toward the substrate.

Plan Your Installation

• Choose DUO-PS when the project calls for the DUO backing functions together with adhesive-backed installation.
• Check the 5/16-inch thickness against adjacent finished floors and prepare the substrate to the PS requirements.
• Plan membrane coverage, cable coverage and electrical controls as separate selections; the 108 sq. ft. roll is not a complete heating kit.

Is mortar needed beneath this roll?
The pressure-sensitive adhesive supplies the substrate bond after the required preparation.

Can an alternate floor covering go directly over the exposed cable?
Use the specific approved covering assembly, including its encapsulation and temperature-control requirements; do not substitute the tile detail.
