Overview
Schluter KERDI-FLEX is a 12-mil flexible waterproofing strip for movement joints that need more flexibility than a standard seam. It maintains the waterproofing connection at expansion or construction joints in compatible KERDI and DITRA assemblies while accommodating the joint detail specified for the project.

Use over expansion and construction joints where the waterproofing must bridge a moving connection.
Plan Your Installation
- Identify the movement connection requiring the flexible waterproofing strip before selecting roll size.
- Compare the 5- and 10-inch widths with the specified joint geometry; count the joint runs against the 16 ft. 5 in. or 98 ft. 5 in. length.
- Coordinate the strip placement with the adjoining membrane and movement-joint detail rather than treating it as ordinary rigid seam reinforcement.
- The flexible waterproofing connection does not remove the need for the corresponding movement-joint treatment in the tile assembly.

No. This flexible strip is 12 mil thick; KERDI-BAND is the thinner routine seam-sealing product.
