Overview
Schluter DITRA-HEAT holds electric heating cable and provides the uncoupling layer beneath the finished floor. The stud layout allows cable placement around the areas you want to warm, while the fleece-backed membrane bonds to the substrate with mortar. Choose sheets for smaller layouts or the roll for larger areas.

Use for a custom heated tile or stone floor with separately sized DITRA-HEAT cable and controls.
Plan Your Installation
- Compare the 8.4 sq. ft. sheet and 134.5 sq. ft. roll with the room layout and cutting needs.
- Include the 1/4-inch membrane height in the floor buildup, then calculate cable coverage from the heated zones rather than the entire membrane area.
- Select the appropriate floor-covering assembly before installation. Alternate coverings require the specified encapsulation and temperature controls.

Is a leveling pour always required to hold the cable?
Not merely to secure cable within the membrane for the specified tile installation. Alternate-covering assemblies have their own encapsulation requirements.
