Overview
Protecto Wrap Universal Water Based Primer is a ready-to-use, high-tack primer for compatible Protecto Wrap membranes on interior or exterior substrates. The coating changes from lighter green to darker green as it dries, providing a useful visual check alongside the required dry, tacky surface test.

Applications
Use on approved substrates before installing compatible self-adhering Protecto Wrap membranes. Select the primer as part of the specified membrane system, especially for exterior or vertical work; primer alone is not the finished waterproofing layer.
Selection and Use
- Use full strength on clean, properly prepared surfaces. Concrete must have the required cure and be dry; do not apply in rain or to unsuitable wet surfaces.
- Apply with a synthetic brush or a roller of the specified nap. Allow the coating to darken and dry until tacky without transfer before installing the membrane.
- Prime only the area that can be covered within about half a day. For vertical work above 8 ft., follow the data sheetās additional primer treatment at the top of the wall.
- Store at or above 40Ā°F and protect from freezing. Although water based, dried residue can burn; follow the handling precautions.
