Overview
MVIS Thin Brick Mortar is a polymer-fortified adhesive mortar with non-sag performance for vertical thin brick, masonry veneer, stone and tile. Its creamy consistency supports placement of large or heavy finishes on suitable interior or exterior walls.

- Exceeds ANSI A118.4, A118.11 and A118.15.
- Strong bonding to listed prepared substrates.
- Extra Heavy ASTM C627 test rating; the intended application here remains the specified wall assembly.

Applications
Use on suitable concrete, concrete block/CMU, existing tile/stone, terrazzo and approved cement backer board. Plywood and gypsum details are interior, non-wet applications; verify the complete substrate requirements.
Plan Your Installation
- Confirm veneer weight, backing and local code requirements before choosing the installation method.
- Do not bond directly to OSB, particleboard, interior-glue plywood, luan, Masonite or hardwood.
- Do not apply over VAT, VCT, cutback, vinyl or plastic laminate; provide the specified MVIS air/water barrier separately.

No. This mortar bonds the veneer; use the specified pointing material for visible joints.
