Overview
HYDRO BAN Adhesive & Sealant is a one-component, fast-curing hybrid elastomeric material for specified HYDRO BAN board and preformed-shower connections. It combines adhesion and flexibility for joining components and treating approved seams or penetrations.
Features
- Strong adhesion to listed substrates, including polystyrene.
- Flexible, durable, shrink- and crack-resistant formulation.
- Low VOC; contains no isocyanates.
- Flood testing can begin after the specified 2-hour cure at 70°F or higher and 50% RH.

Applications
Use in the approved HYDRO BAN Board, pre-sloped pan, seat, niche, curb, ramp and curb-overlay details. Listed uses include joining board seams/corners, covering fasteners and fastening specified preformed components.
Plan Your Installation
- Select a single tube or six-pack according to the joint quantity.
- Follow the prescribed bead dimensions and tooling; do not use for structural glazing or joints subject to physical abuse/abrasion.
- Do not use to treat steam-room or steam-shower seams; the sheet directs those details to HYDRO BAN Sheet Membrane.
- Observe cure conditions before flood testing and protect until fully cured. Follow SDS precautions—low VOC does not mean harmless.
Common Planning Questions
Can I use it for every HYDRO BAN steam detail?
No. The linked adhesive sheet excludes steam-room/steam-shower use and specifies sheet membrane for those seams and penetrations.
