The HYDRO BAN Preformed Bench supplies a lightweight, waterproof, ready-to-tile rectangular seating base. Its high-density expanded-polystyrene body reduces handling weight compared with constructing a solid masonry bench, while the factory waterproof finish integrates into the specified HYDRO BAN assembly.

Applications
Use in suitable residential, commercial or industrial shower stalls and tub surrounds. The linked sheet also lists approved interior/exterior fountain and water-feature applications over concrete, backer board, mortar beds, pre-sloped shower pans or suitable tile/stone.
Plan Your Installation
- Waterproof the shower in accordance with the manufacturer and applicable assembly detail before installing the bench.
- Check the footprint and wall relationship before setting; use the specified leveling, polymer-fortified thin-set and HYDRO BAN Adhesive & Sealant procedure.
- Protect and repair the waterproof finish if damaged, and tile the bench rather than leaving it as an exposed seat.
- Do not expose unprotected material to sun/weather for more than 30 days or to rubber solvents/ketones.
