Overview

LATICRETE Air Barrier C3 is a ready-to-use, water-based Class III air-barrier membrane for vertical, above-grade walls. It forms a continuous, vapor-permeable waterproof control layer over approved sheathing, concrete or CMU as part of the MVIS wall assembly.

Applications

Use as the primary control layer in the specified above-grade MVIS wall assembly. Connect it correctly to adjacent wall elements, flashings and penetrations using LATICRETE Flashing Sealant or LATAPOXY Waterproof Flashing Mortar as the detail requires.

Plan Your Installation

• Apply only to suitable dry surfaces; do not use below grade or on surfaces subject to immersion.
• Keep surface and ambient temperatures above 40°F and below 100°F during application/drying, with at least 24 hours above 40°F afterward.
• Detail sheathing joints and openings separately; use Flashing Sealant for gaps 1/8 in. or greater as directed.
• Cool, damp conditions prolong drying and protection requirements. Do not assume weather resistance allows immediate rain or freezing exposure.
