Overview
TechLevel XP-1 is a high-strength, low-prep self-leveling underlayment for interior floors that need a durable leveling base before finish flooring. It can be poured up to 2 inches in one application and provides abrasion resistance for construction traffic, with approximately 5,500 psi compressive strength.

Applications
Use XP-1 as an underlayment beneath compatible tile, stone, terrazzo, wood, carpet, laminate or resilient flooring. Its high strength is useful in demanding commercial projects such as hospitals, kitchens and food-plant floor assemblies when specified for the complete floor system.
Selection and Use
- Clean and prime acceptable surfaces; concrete, gypsum, existing tile, terrazzo and wood have different preparation needs. Low-prep does not remove the requirement for sound, uncontaminated substrates.
- Check wood-panel thickness, fastening, deflection and finish-floor needs. The data sheet specifies minimum 3/4-inch tongue-and-groove APA-rated exterior-exposure panels and may require additional support for sensitive finishes.
- Plan the quantity from actual depth: a 2-inch pour covers far less area than a skim application.
- Non-moisture-sensitive tile or stone can typically follow after 4 hours; other coverings after 16 hours, subject to site conditions and moisture requirements. Interior use only; not a drainage-slope material or exposed finished floor.
