Overview
ARDEX S 1-K is a single-component membrane that creates a flexible, positive-side waterproof coating beneath tile on interior floors and walls. The ready-to-use material is applied in two coats with a roller or brush.

Applications
For prepared concrete, masonry finishes, existing tile, drywall, plaster, cementitious backerboard and suitable plywood in approved interior assemblies. Reinforce corners and changes of plane with the specified SK MESH details.
Selection and Use
- Do not add water or additives. Maintain movement joints rather than coating them as ordinary cracks.
- At 70Ā°F, allow approximately 1ā2 hours for the first coat and 12ā16 hours for the second before tile installation; site conditions change drying times.
- Flood testing requires full final-coat cure, typically 12ā24 hours under reference conditions.
