Description
Overview

Applications
For prepared showers, bathrooms, kitchens and other wet areas before tile or stone. Supported interior substrates include concrete, masonry, existing tile, drywall, cement backerboard and suitable exterior-grade plywood. Contact ARDEX for exterior or submerged/pool application guidance.
Selection and Use
- Use both supplied components; do not substitute water for ARDEX 8 or add unapproved additives.
- Apply two coats and detail corners, drains and penetrations as directed in the linked technical sheet. Tile only after the final coat is dry; the approximately 90-minute overall schedule depends on conditions.
- Not a roofing membrane or exterior primary waterproofing over occupied interior spaces.
- Crack-isolation limits do not permit bridging structural cracks or vertical displacement.
