Applications
Use on honed or unpolished granite, limestone, marble, slate and travertine, plus suitable porcelain, quarry tile, Saltillo, terra-cotta, cement pavers, masonry and other porous tile or grout. Abrasion or excessive machine speed can dull polished marble; test before use.
Selection and Use
- For deep oil/grease stains: mix with water to a thick paste. Apply 1/4 in. (6 mm) thick, extending at least 1 in. (25 mm) beyond the stain. Cover with plastic or wax paper and make a few small air holes in plastic.
- Leave the paste 24–48 hours. Lift it with a plastic spatula or putty knife and wash away residue. Repeat if necessary; moisture darkening may take 5–7 days to dry out.
- For surface stains and grout residue: protect surrounding areas and pre-wet about 10 sq. ft. Make a thin slurry on the surface; for vertical work, mix in a container first.
- Agitate by hand or at 175–350 RPM with a white nylon pad, keeping the surface wet. Collect residue with towels, sponge or a wet vacuum, rinse twice and buff dry with clean towels.
- Wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection. Follow the linked instructions for the appropriate method; do not improvise chemical mixtures.
