Overview
Triton BK Backer Board is a lightweight cement-based tile backer and flooring underlayment with resistance to impact, moisture, mold and fire. It scores and snaps for installation and provides a substrate for tile and stone; BK is the backer board, not the separately waterproofed WPBK board.

Select Thickness and Package
Choose the thickness required by the tile or stone assembly, then select individual-board or pallet packaging. The 70-piece pallet is the 1/2 in. board; the 120-piece pallet is the 1/4 in. board. Pallet quantities do not apply to the individual-board options.
Backer Board Versus Waterproofing
BK supplies the tile-backing substrate. For wet-area work, follow the installation guide and use the specified waterproofing system; do not assume moisture resistance alone makes the board a waterproof barrier. Triton WPBK is a different, waterproof-faced product.
Score, snap and fasten according to the installation guide. The absence of crystalline silica in the board does not remove other workplace or assembly-specific safety requirements.
