It exceeds ANSI A118.12 standards and is ideal for both residential and commercial applications. When installed as per the manufacturer's specifications, Fracture Guard effectively inhibits shrinkage and nonstructural cracks caused by horizontal movement in tile and stone finishes.

This versatile crack isolation membrane is suitable for a wide range of substrates, including brick masonry, cement backer board, cement mortar beds, cement plaster, cement terrazzo, ceramic tile and stone, concrete, concrete masonry, exterior-grade plywood, gypsum wallboard, gypsum mortar bed, and oriented strand board.

Merkrete Fracture Guard provides impressive coverage, with a 1-gallon unit covering approximately 50 sq. ft., and a 3.5-gallon unit covering approximately 175 sq. ft.
