The DeWalt DW089K is a self-leveling three-beam line laser for horizontal, vertical and 90-degree layout. A magnetic pivot bracket and micro-adjust knob let you position and align the intersecting reference lines without repeatedly moving the whole tool.

Applications
Use DW089K for ceiling and steel-track layouts, cabinet and countertop alignment, tile and backsplash layouts, trim, chair rails and crown molding. Vertical and square references also assist wall layout and outlet positioning.
Selection and Use
- A flashing beam indicates the self-leveling range has been exceeded; reposition the tool rather than using the flashing line as a level reference.
- Check calibration as described in the manual, particularly when accuracy matters across a room.
- For outdoor work such as walkways, patios, railings or retaining-wall layout, confirm that the reference line is visible and usable at the required distance; the indoor-style line laser is not an unlimited-range rotary laser.
