Applications
Use around compatible windows, doors, siding, trim, pipes, vents, ducts, gutters and flashing. Suitable surfaces include wood, glass, ceramic, porcelain, vinyl and compatible plastics/rubbers and metals, subject to the exclusions below.
Selection and Use
- Apply to clean, dry, sound surfaces and allow air access for curing; it will not cure in a totally confined space.
- Do not use on or near brass, copper, copper alloys, zinc, iron or galvanized metal where weak-acid corrosion is a concern.
- Not for oily woods, cementitious surfaces, continuous underwater service, structural glazing, chimneys, stovepipes or fireplaces.
- Check plastic compatibility; the guide cautions about acrylic, polycarbonate, polypropylene, polyethylene and PTFE.
- Paint surrounding surfaces before sealing and leave the silicone unpainted. Do not touch or clean it for 24 hours.
