Custom T1-60 Economical Tile Adhesive - 3.5 Gallon

Overview

T1-60 is an economical ready-to-use adhesive for basic interior ceramic tile installations. Its easy-spreading, easy-cleanup formula is intended for small-format wall, floor and countertop tile, not for thick mortar beds or large-format installations.

• Tile size: Up to 8 in. recommended; wall or countertop tile up to 15 in. requires longer drying
• 3/16 × 5/32 in. V-notch: 40–60 sq. ft. per gallon; tile up to 6 in.
• 1/4 in. square notch: 15–25 sq. ft. per gallon; tile up to 12 in.
• 1/4 × 3/8 × 1/4 in. square notch: 10–14 sq. ft. per gallon; tile up to 15 in.

Applications

Use T1-60 for compatible interior tile over properly prepared concrete, mortar beds, masonry, cement plaster or cement backerboard. Gypsum wallboard belongs in dry areas; exterior-grade plywood is limited to appropriate interior residential and light-commercial dry areas.

Selection and Use

• The larger-tile allowance applies to walls and countertops; do not interpret the coverage chart as approval for larger floor tile.
• If drying time is critical, choose a suitable polymer-modified thin-set mortar. Larger or dense tile and cool, humid conditions extend drying.
• Not for shower floors, steam rooms, underwater use or radiant heating. Waterproof membranes, coated backerboards and vinyl are prohibited bonding surfaces.
• Check the manufacturer’s preparation details for existing tile, laminates and adhesive residue. Do not use for moisture-sensitive or resin-backed stone, transparent glass or ungauged stone.
• Use the trowel needed for adequate contact and check tile backs during setting; estimated coverage varies with the job.
