Overview
FractureFree is a ready-to-use elastomeric crack-prevention membrane for tile and stone floors. It helps isolate non-structural cracks up to 1/8 inch caused by minor surface movement and is applied with a roller or trowel before tile setting.

Applications
Use as the crack-prevention layer over compatible concrete, mortar, masonry or cement backerboard before tiling. Lightweight concrete and gypsum toppings require at least 2,000 psi compressive strength and the specified preparation.
Selection and Use
- Do not bridge expansion, control, construction, cold or saw-cut joints, and do not use to control vertical movement cracks.
- Avoid wet substrates and hydrostatic pressure. Temperatures must not drop below 40Ā°F during the first 72 hours after application.
- Plywood and OSB are restricted to suitable interior dry areas. Consult CUSTOM for exterior decks and post-tensioned slabs.
- Cover the membrane with tile. It is not an adhesive or finished wear surface, and solvents must not be used with it.
- Specify waterproofing separately when the assembly requires it; ANSI A118.12 crack isolation is not an ANSI A118.10 waterproofing specification.
