Applications
Choose ReliaBond for interior small-tile work where the adhesive can dry properly. It is intended for compatible prepared concrete, mortar beds, masonry and plaster; exterior-grade plywood is limited to interior residential or light-commercial dry areas, and gypsum wallboard to dry areas.
Selection and Use
- Use a polymer-modified cement mortar instead when tile density, size or site conditions make adhesive drying impractical. Allow at least 24 hours before grouting, and longer for dense or larger tile, high humidity or cool temperatures.
- Do not use on shower floors, in steam rooms, underwater or over radiant heating. Intermittent exposure on a shower wall is different from continuous wet service.
- Do not apply over non-porous waterproofing membranes, coated backerboards or vinyl flooring. Ask CUSTOM to confirm existing-tile or laminate assemblies before use because preparation and drying are critical.
- Not for resin-backed or moisture-sensitive stone, transparent glass, translucent stone, ungauged stone or gauged stone thicker than 3/8 in. Follow the full exclusions in the data sheet.
- Coverage is an estimate, not a larger-tile approval. Check tile contact during installation; back-buttering may be needed.
