Description
Overview
EBM-Lite is a three-component, 100%-solids epoxy bonding mortar for tile and stone installations that require high bond strength, impact resistance or chemical resistance. The lightweight, non-sag and non-slump formula is designed for large-format floor and wall tile, including moisture-sensitive and resin-backed stone.
Features
- Approximately 30% lighter than traditional epoxy mortars while providing comparable coverage.
- Handles like a cement-based mortar with epoxy performance.
- Exceeds ANSI A118.3; contains recycled material that may contribute to applicable LEED credits.

Applications
Choose EBM-Lite for demanding commercial, industrial or institutional tile setting, or for stone that needs an epoxy mortar. It can be used on properly prepared compatible concrete, masonry and other substrates listed in the technical sheet; plywood and gypsum have dry-area restrictions.
Selection and Use
- Mix the full Part A and Part B liquids, then add Part C powder at low speed below 300 RPM. Do not overmix or prepare more material than the crew can place promptly.
- Do not use as a floor-leveling compound. Select the trowel for full tile contact and check coverage by lifting tiles; the listed coverage rates are estimates.
- Match chemical exposure to the application: heavy solvents and high moisture-vapor emission conditions require technical review. This mortar is not recommended for an entire exterior building veneer.
- Allow at least 16 hours above 70°F, or 72 hours at 60–70°F, before grouting. Clean epoxy from tile and tools with water before it cures.
