Overview
Complete Contact LFT Rapid Setting is a flowable mortar for large-format tile floors. It transfers readily to the tile back while retaining support for a thicker setting bed, helping reduce the need for back-buttering on suitable tile and shortening the wait before grout and light traffic.

Applications
Use for time-sensitive installations of appropriate large modular tile and stone on floors. Plan the work area and crew around the rapid-setting formula, while checking that the substrate is flat and properly prepared before mixing.
Selection and Use
- Reduced back-buttering is not a guarantee of full coverage with every tile. Lift tiles to verify at least 80% contact in dry areas and 95% in wet/exterior areas, with supported edges.
- CUSTOM does not recommend the 1/2-inch square-notch trowel listed for coverage comparison. Use a notch designed for ridge collapse; deeply patterned or warped tile can still need back-troweling.
- Do not use for pools or water features. Moisture-sensitive or resin-backed stone needs an appropriate epoxy mortar rather than this cement-based product.
- Follow the technical sheet’s dedicated curing schedule: approximately 3 hours before grout, 4 hours before light traffic and 3 days before heavy traffic. Heavy service also requires a suitably rated complete assembly.
