Overview
ARDEX P 4 is a ready-to-use bonding primer that leaves a textured surface for compatible ARDEX tile-and-stone mortars and self-leveling underlayments. Its white color makes primed areas visible during preparation.

Applications
For approved concrete, existing tile, stone and other properly prepared substrates, including tile-over-tile and certain nonporous surfaces. Check the receiving mortar or underlayment instructions as well as the primer sheet.
Selection and Use
- Do not interpret primer as waterproofing merely because the installation is in a bathroom or kitchen.
- Not for submerged applications, including swimming pools.
- Apply within the specified 50–85°F surface-temperature range. For in-floor heating, follow the linked temperature limits.
