Overview
Aqua Mix Eff-Ex is a non-acidic cleaner for removing efflorescence and helping inhibit its recurrence on porous stone, tile and masonry. Removal and inhibition use different procedures: the cleaning treatment is rinsed away, while the inhibitor treatment is wiped dry without rinsing.

Applications
Use on recommended unpolished marble, limestone and travertine, granite, slate, porcelain, quarry tile, Saltillo, terra-cotta, cement pavers, masonry and other porous tile or grout. It is not recommended for polished marble, limestone or travertine because it can dull the finish. It is not a hard-water-deposit remover.
Selection and Use
- Test first, wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection, and follow the full label.
- For removal: pre-wet without puddles, apply undiluted product and dwell 30–60 minutes, keeping it wet. Scrub, rinse thoroughly and collect the dirty solution with a mop or wet vacuum. Heavy buildup can require another treatment or longer dwell.
- For vertical removal work, the instructions permit hose or pressure-washer rinsing where suitable for the surface.
- For inhibition: apply a thin coat, scrub it into the surface, do not rinse, and wipe away remaining product. Two or three treatments may be needed.
- Allow 24 hours of drying before sealing. On an already sealed surface, efflorescence removal may work but recurrence inhibition is reduced.
