Overview
The Alpha PFZ401 Profiler Z-Series is a 1-1/2-inch vertical grinding wheel for shaping a cut edge after a sink opening has been cut. Also called a zero-tolerance or drum-grinding wheel, it is designed to maintain its profile during aggressive edge grinding.

Applications
Use the Z-Series to grind and true vertical stone edges around a sink opening before the next shaping or finishing operation. This is a vertical-grinding profile, not the V-Series full-bullnose or B-Series demi-bullnose shape.
Selection and Use
- For a sink cutout, the existing Alpha workflow pairs a Contour blade and AWS-125 cutter for the initial opening, then uses the Z-Series to work the edge.
- Alpha recommends using this wheel with a Corner Ruler for uniform exterior corners.
- Match the 5/8-inch-11 connection and water-fed setup to the polisher before ordering.
