Overview
Tenax Hydrex is a penetrating water- and oil-repellent treatment for polished stone, especially crystalline marble. It protects without intentionally darkening the stone and allows water vapor to pass through the treated surface.

Applications
Recommended for polished marbles such as Carrara, Thassos, Trani, Botticino and Marfill. Performance differs with stone and finish: the technical sheet rates honed or brushed and highly porous materials less favorably than polished marble.
Selection and Use
- Test an inconspicuous area first. Apply evenly to completely clean, dry stone.
- Use only what the material absorbs and wipe off excess after a few seconds to avoid a sticky film. Repeat after approximately 10–15 minutes as directed.
- Keep treated floors out of traffic for 24 hours. Hydrex does not prevent acid etching of marble; stain resistance and etch protection are different functions.
