Overview
SikaLatex R is an acrylic-polymer bonding admixture for cementitious repair and topping work. It replaces mixing water as directed to improve adhesion and produce a denser mortar with improved freeze-thaw resistance.

Applications
Use in suitable concrete or mortar repair and topping systems that call for SikaLatex R modification. For a bonding grout, the manufacturer specifies one part cement and two parts sand mixed with undiluted SikaLatex R to a creamy consistency, followed by the topping while the grout is still wet.
Selection and Use
- Select the container size for the project and calculate the required liquid from the actual mix instructions.
- Prepare a sound substrate and bring it to saturated-surface-dry condition without standing water before the cementitious repair.
- Do not assume that painting undiluted liquid onto concrete replaces the specified cement-and-sand bonding grout. Follow the instructions for the particular application.
- Protect the product from freezing and discard frozen material. For exposed applications, follow the required protective coating guidance; do not assume an uncovered polymer layer is a finished surface.
