Overview
Rapid Set Concrete Mix is a fast-setting hydraulic-cement and aggregate blend for concrete repairs and new placements 2 to 24 inches thick. The 60-pound bag is mixed with water and is intended for projects where low shrinkage, durability and a rapid return to service matter.

Applications
Use for general or structural concrete repairs, pavements, formed work, footings, post setting, industrial floors and machine bases. The manufacturer also lists airport and military pavement repairs.
Selection and Use
- For thinner work, select an appropriate Cement All or Mortar Mix rather than feathering this aggregate mix below its 2-inch minimum.
- Remove unsound concrete and bond-inhibiting material. Apply to a thoroughly saturated substrate with no standing water.
- Have tools and placement ready before mixing. Do not retemper or wait for bleed water; place full-depth sections rather than layering flatwork.
- Water-cure exposed surfaces for at least 1 hour, with longer curing when cold conditions or retarders extend set. Do not place on frozen surfaces.
- Return-to-service timing varies with conditions; the typical figures are based on 70°F testing and time after final set. Confirm the regional formulation when freeze-thaw air entrainment is required.
