Overview
The NobleFlex Drain Flashing Foam Tool forms the mortar recess around a compatible clamping-ring drain before NobleFlex flashing is installed. It is a removable shaping aid—not the drain flashing, drain body or waterproof seal itself.

Applications
Use during shower mortar-bed preparation when installing the matching NobleFlex drain-flashing configuration. Select the tool depth to match the planned flashing and drain detail; the waterproof connection is completed afterward with the flashing and specified sealant.
Selection and Use
- Remove the drain strainer, clamping ring and retaining bolts, then center the tool on the drain body.
- Hold it firmly while packing mortar around it and form the sloped mortar bed from the tool to the shower perimeter.
- Remove the tool and continue with the NobleFlex installation instructions.
- Tape over the finger holes on the underside of the tool to help keep mortar from entering the drain opening.
