The Makita HR4013C is a 1-9/16 in. SDS-MAX rotary hammer with an 11-amp motor and 8.4 ft-lb. of impact energy. Its three-part AVT system combines an air-actuated counterbalance, vibration-absorbing housing and damper spring for a listed vibration level of 5 m/s².

Applications
For through-hole drilling, anchor setting, tilt-wall support and light demolition. Choose hammering with rotation for drilling or chipping-only mode for material removal; this model has two operating modes.
Selection and Use
- Use SDS-MAX bits and choose the bit profile for the operation.
- The variable-speed dial and 24 bit-angle positions help adapt the tool to the cut and working position.
- The power indicator identifies cord or switch issues; the service indicator gives approximately eight hours’ warning before brush replacement.
