Although no system is mold proof, Hardibacker board delivers the ultimate in mold resistance, passing both industry mold tests with a perfect score. It is a fiber cement board underlayment that contains NO asbestos, gypsum or formaldehyde. It complies with ASTM C-1288, ANSI A118.9
