Overview
MegaLite Rapid Setting combines lightweight large-format mortar support with a faster cure for time-critical tile work. Its high-bond, flexible formula helps isolate supported horizontal movement and provides non-slump floor support plus sag resistance on walls without a separate additive.

Applications
Choose MegaLite RS for suitable large and heavy tile or stone where a shorter return-to-service schedule is needed. The rapid version uses its own mixing and curing instructions; do not apply the working schedule of standard MegaLite.
Selection and Use
- Prepare and organize the setting area before mixing. Temperature and humidity affect the published 3-hour grout and 4-hour light-traffic targets.
- Use a ridge-collapse-friendly notch rather than the discouraged 1/2-inch square notch. Check tile backs for at least 80% dry-area or 95% wet/exterior contact, and allow extra mortar for back-troweling where needed.
- Do not bond directly to OSB, hardwood, particleboard, metal, fiberglass or plastic. Moisture-sensitive/resin-backed stone and large glass require the manufacturer’s specific alternative or recommendation.
- Heavy traffic generally requires 3 days and an appropriately rated assembly. For approved submerged work, wait 14 days after final grouting before filling under the specified conditions.
- The mortar’s flexibility is not a repair for structural movement or a substitute for required waterproofing.
