Description
Overview
ChemLink M-1 is a moisture-curing polyether adhesive and sealant for bonding and sealing compatible construction materials. Its non-slump, solvent-free formulation forms an elastic seal without mixing and can be applied to vertical or overhead joints.

- Suitable for damp-site conditions after standing water and contamination are removed.
- Good color stability under UV exposure.
- Paintable within 24 hours, subject to paint compatibility testing.

Applications
Use for appropriate joints and bonds involving masonry, concrete, stone, wood, glass, aluminum, galvanized or stainless steel, compatible roofing materials and EPS foam. Typical work includes flashing, copings, skylights, HVAC surfaces, window or door frames and weather sealing.
Selection and Use
- Clean and prepare the substrate and test adhesion. Joint design must allow movement and avoid three-sided adhesion.
- Do not use for continuous immersion, on fire-retardant lumber or on Kynar 500 PVDF-coated metal.
- TPO requires the specified ChemLink TPO primer. Allow treated wood and asphalt to age for the period specified in the data sheet.
- Test paints first; polyurethane and oil-based paints may dry slowly.
- Choose the dispensing equipment for the selected package; a sausage or pail is not interchangeable with a standard cartridge gun.
