Overview
The Bison JT Joist Top Attachment provides a bearing surface for lumber on a compatible adjustable Bison pedestal. It lets a pedestal-supported installation carry a traditional joist-and-plank deck instead of directly supporting deck tiles.

Applications
Choose JT when your deck design calls for supported joists with plank decking above. The attachment provides the pedestal-to-joist interface; it does not establish the joist span, fastening schedule or structural capacity of the complete deck.
Selection and Use
- Allow for the JT’s added height when setting the pedestal elevation.
- Use the included screw to attach the JT to the pedestal, then secure the lumber according to the deck design and Bison instructions.
- Do not confuse JT with the different JS Joist Saddle, which has different height and support compatibility.
