Applications
Use beneath a compatible Bison pedestal when the roofing-system design calls for load distribution over insulation in the specified range. The FIB does not increase the roof structure’s allowable load or make an unsuitable insulation assembly acceptable.
Selection and Use
- Confirm roof-system compatibility, expected loads and bearing requirements with the project design and roofing manufacturer.
- Center the pedestal on the FIB as directed so its footprint is used properly.
- Bison’s linked specification does not recommend FIB with VT or HD25 fixed-height supports; select a compatible assembly.
- Account for the base in the finished support elevation and maintain drainage and perimeter restraint.
