Description
Overview
The Bison LD4 Base Leveler corrects slope beneath a compatible pedestal. Each leveler compensates for about 2% slope and adds 1/4 in. of height, allowing the pedestal to sit properly on a sloped support surface.
Features
- Designed for base-leveling rather than spacing joints between deck units.
- Listed as an accessory in both Versadjust and Level. It systems.
- Made in the USA with 20% post-industrial recycled material.
Specifications
- Model: LD4
- Slope compensation: 2%, approximately 1/4 in. per foot, per leveler
- Added height: 1/4 in. (6 mm)
- Maximum stack: Up to 4 LD4 units at the pedestal base, subject to system instructions
Applications
Use below compatible Bison pedestals on sloped roof or deck substrates when the project requires additional base compensation. Keep the drainage slope below the deck distinct from the desired finished deck elevation.
Selection and Use
- Measure the substrate slope and include the added base-leveler height in the pedestal selection.
- Follow Bison’s orientation and stacking instructions for the required correction. A Versadjust pedestal already has integral base leveling, so account for that before adding accessories.
- LD4 is a base accessory, not a replacement for suitable roof bearing capacity, waterproofing, deck-unit support or perimeter containment.
