Overview
The Bison HD50 is a 1/2 in. fixed-height deck support for low-clearance installations. It can be combined with Bison’s other fixed-height supports to build the required height without a screw-adjustable pedestal.
Features
- Stackable up to four fixed-height pedestals in the approved configuration.
- Choose 1/8 in. or 3/16 in. tabs for the required joint spacing.
- USA-made high-density copolymer polypropylene contains 20% post-industrial recycled material.
- Material resists water, mold and freeze/thaw exposure.

Applications
Use HD50 where the available cavity calls for a 1/2 in. support or a stack built from the HD25, HD50 and HD75 fixed-height sizes. Joint spacing and support height are separate choices: the selected tab width does not change the HD50 body height.
Selection and Use
- Plan the combined support height before selecting the quantity and mix of fixed-height units; do not exceed four in a stack.
- Confirm that the deck units, supporting surface and perimeter restraint satisfy the project requirements. The pedestal’s rating does not establish the strength of the roof or paving material.
- For small thickness variations, use the manufacturer-approved shim procedure rather than assuming a fixed-height unit has threaded adjustment.
