Overview
Tuscan Wing Straps are designed for ungauged tile with up to a 2 mm thickness difference. Used with the traditional system’s caps and installation gun, the winged base helps bring neighboring tile faces into alignment while the mortar cures.

Applications
Select Wing Straps when variation in tile thickness makes the regular uniform-thickness strap unsuitable. They are part of the strap-and-cap system, not the one-piece SeamClip range.
Selection and Use
- Soak before first use only: 30 minutes in hot water, 2–3 hours in warm water, or overnight at room temperature, as directed in the installation guide.
- The guide recommends a 1/2-inch or larger notched trowel for Wing Straps. Follow the mortar instructions and back-butter the tile.
- Place along tile edges rather than at corners, clear excess mortar from the strap and allow the setting material to cure before removal.
- Use at 50°F or above after soaking; do not use frozen or pre-bend the straps.
