Overview
Tuscan standard straps work with reusable caps to limit lippage between gauged tiles as the setting material cures. These are the regular straps for uniform-thickness material, rather than the Wing Straps intended to accommodate a thickness difference.

Applications
Use with compatible Tuscan caps and an installation gun for ceramic, marble, onyx, granite and suitable composite tile. Maintaining alignment during cure can reduce later correction work; it is not a guarantee of a perfectly flat installation on an unsuitable substrate.
Selection and Use
- Soak once before use: 30 minutes in hot water, 2–3 hours in warm water, or overnight at room temperature, following the linked guide.
- The guide recommends a 3/8-inch or larger notched trowel for Original Straps, with mortar mixed within its manufacturer’s instructions and each tile back-buttered.
- Position straps along tile edges, not at the corners, and keep excess mortar away from the break point.
- Remove after the setting material cures and retain the reusable caps. Wider joints require appropriate separate spacers.
