Overview
STONETECH Heavy Duty Coating Stripper is a water-based gel for removing epoxy grout haze and surface coatings from compatible stone, tile and masonry. Its thick consistency keeps the treatment on the work area while it loosens coatings such as acrylic finishes, wax, paint, varnish, lacquer and polyurethane.

Applications
Choose this stripper for coating removal or epoxy-haze cleanup on suitable ceramic and porcelain tile, quarry tile, natural stone or masonry. Test first, especially on polished or sensitive stone; it is not recommended for highly sensitive marble. It is not an everyday stone cleaner.
Application and Removal
- Read the label, ventilate the area and use the specified protective equipment. Protect nearby surfaces and keep children and pets away during use and drying.
- Apply undiluted with a brush, mop or pad; do not spray. Keep the treatment wet and work only an area that can be completed before it dries.
- For fresh epoxy haze, the linked data sheet gives approximately 1–3 minutes of dwell. Older haze or coatings can require longer, up to 10 minutes depending on the surface and residue; test the method before treating the full area.
- Agitate with a nylon pad or brush that will not scratch the surface, remove the slurry and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Repeat as needed for stubborn material.
- Allow the surface to dry before further treatment. Keep traffic off for at least 2 hours or until dry.
