Makita Hypoid 5277NB Saw has efficient hypoid gears that deliver more power with greater surface contact than worm drive gears. Its retractable hook allows tool to remain close-by, but never in the way. Also, its high quality, heat treated hypoid steel gears do not prematurely wear like traditional bronze-alloy worm drive gears.
