Overview
The Makita JR3051T is a 12-amp reciprocating saw with a 1-3/16 in. stroke and variable trigger delivering up to 3,000 strokes per minute. The 7.3 lb. corded tool has tool-less blade changes, a storage hook and separate supplied wood and metal blades.

Applications
For demolition, remodeling and cutting wood, metal or plastics with a blade selected for the material. Listed maximum capacities are 5-1/8 in. pipe and 10 in. wood; these are different workpiece categories.
Selection and Use
- Use the 6 TPI supplied blade for its listed wood-cutting purpose and the 18 TPI blade for its listed metal-cutting purpose.
- Speed is controlled by the trigger; this model has no separate variable-speed dial, orbital settings or built-in clutch.
- The large two-finger trigger and soft grip support handling during extended cuts.
