The Makita CT225SYX is a two-tool 18V LXT compact kit containing the XFD10Z 1/2 in. driver-drill and XDT11Z impact driver. Two 1.5Ah batteries, a DC18SD charger and a tool bag support a drilling-and-fastening setup with shared batteries.

Applications
Use the driver-drill for drilling and controlled screwdriving, and select the impact driver for appropriate fastening work. Keep their ratings separate: the drill delivers up to 480 in-lb. maximum torque, while the impact driver delivers up to 1,460 in-lb.
Selection and Use
- Driver-drill: two speed ranges, 0–600 and 0–1,900 rpm; listed length 7-1/4 in. and weight 3.3 lb. with battery.
- Impact driver: 0–2,900 rpm and 0–3,500 impacts per minute; listed length 5-3/8 in. and weight 2.8 lb. with battery.
- Use compatible Makita 18V Lithium-Ion batteries with the Star symbol. The two included packs are 1.5Ah, not 5.0Ah.
