Makita 196846-1 is a 5 in. dust-extracting cutting and tuck-point guard for compatible Makita angle grinders. Its plunge action, depth adjustment and viewing window support controlled diamond-wheel cutting while connected to suitable dust extraction.

Applications
Use for concrete diamond-wheel cutting and tuck pointing with the appropriate grinder, wheel and extraction system. The linked manual specifies 125 mm Makita grinders and matching bearing-box/guard mounts; this is not a universal guard for every grinder under 5 in.
