Overview

Duro Shine 686 Plus is an ultra-high-gloss, water-based sealer for porous stone, tile and masonry. The acrylic/polyurethane coating builds a glossy surface finish, with additional coats increasing depth and shine. Choose the quart, 1-gallon or 5-gallon size for the project.

Applications

Use on porous clay tile, concrete, masonry, slate, flamed granite, brick, pavers and other suitable porous stone when a visibly glossy coating is desired. For sand-joint stabilization on 12 × 12-inch pavers, the manufacturer gives a separate approximate rate of 100 sq ft per gallon.

Selection and Use

• Test an inconspicuous area before coating the whole installation. Higher porosity and additional coats affect product consumption and appearance.
• Prepare a clean, dry surface and avoid puddles. Neutralize acid-cleaned surfaces according to the manufacturer’s preparation directions.
• Do not use on ceramic, porcelain, polished marble or polished granite. Avoid application in hot midday sun or below 55°F.
• Store above 40°F and protect from freezing. Choose 646 Plus instead when a lower-gloss satin finish is wanted.
