Overview
Americo 17 in. floor pads are offered in distinct grades for stripping, scrubbing, cleaning, buffing and polishing. The color identifies the task and permitted machine-speed range; these are not interchangeable abrasive grades.
Features
- Select a pad for the existing finish and intended maintenance step.
- White polishing is suitable for soft finishes, low-traffic areas and marble floors.
- White Polish is also offered as a five-pad package.
Specifications
- Pad diameter: 17 in.
- Black / stripping: Aggressive wet stripping of dirt and old finish; polyester open-texture nonwoven; up to 350 RPM
- Blue / cleaning: Routine scrubbing before recoating; neutral cleaning solutions; up to 350 RPM
- Champagne / burnishing: High-gloss burnishing of soft to medium finishes; up to 3,000 RPM
- Green / scrubbing: Heavy-duty wet scrubbing or light stripping; reversible; up to 350 RPM
- Red / buffing: Light cleaning, scuff removal and buffing; reversible; up to 800 RPM
- White / polishing: Extra-fine polishing of clean floors and soft finishes; reversible, wet or dry; up to 3,000 RPM

Applications
Choose black for stripping old finish, blue for routine scrubbing before recoating, or green for heavier wet scrubbing. For maintaining gloss rather than stripping, use the appropriate red, white or champagne option for the finish and machine.
Selection and Use
- Match the 17 in. pad to the machine and stay within the selected pad’s speed limit. The 3,000 RPM rating does not apply to every color.
- Use a stripping or scrubbing pad only where removal of soil or finish is intended; do not substitute it for an extra-fine polishing pad.
- Select White Polish 5PK when five white pads are required; the other color selections are not an assorted pack.
